SIMM/Gait

SIMM/Gait allows users to easily animate three-dimensional motion data for gait analysis applications. (Gait analysis is used to diagnose walking impairments in children and adults.) SIMM/Gait includes all of the features of our SIMM musculoskeletal modeling package. It also includes file translators to animate data files from commercial motion capture systems (e.g., Oxford Metrics or Motion Analysis systems). Two key features: 1) SIMM/Gait animations display ground reaction force vectors superimposed on a skeleton, and 2) SIMM/Gait animations can also display changes in muscle EMG activation during gait by changing muscle color.
